This lovely community is located in south Forsyth county and is about three miles east of GA 400, exit 14, on GA 20., and at 1,373 acres, is Forsyth County's largest master-planned community. Windermere's first home-sites became available in mid-1999. Plans call for up to 1,087 single-family homes in a variety of neighborhoods, allowing the community to appeal to a broad range of home-buyers. Prices will range from the $200k to $600k. Between the park, golf course, and open areas, approximately 400 acres, nearly one third of the community, will be preserved as green space. An extensive walking and biking trail system will wind its way throughout the community. New elementary and middle schools have been built on a 91 acre site adjacent to Windermere. Windermere is a mere 10 minutes from beautiful Lake Sidney Lanier and borders the Chattahoochee River with its pristine trout waters.
